Good class last night – I learned quite a bit

Yesterday evening was an interesting class. Much as I figured, I didn’t really my short synopsis, because I had the long one. Trouble is my synopsis lacks disasters. I mean the whole premise of my book is there is an unknown biological holocaust where 99.97% of all the world’s human and animals die off in three days but that is NOT a disaster but merely a world setting. I need three disasters that happen in that world setting and I only have one so before next Monday night, I have to come up with two more “real” disasters in this new world setting. I mean how bad can it get?. I also have to write a short index card for each of the 60 scenes I will need for the book, and character synopsis on all the main characters. Jason Stanley, my class instructor, and the published author suggested a book that would help in developing characters, “BrainStyles” by Marlane Miller. I bought a Kindle version of her book.

I am also reading “Manhattan Beach” by Jennifer Egan for my book club/MCC class that meets at the West Waco Library, the third Thursday of every month at 10:30 AM. I haven’t got into it yet but so far it has got my interest. So little time and so much to do.

One of my classmates, the one who introduced me the HubPages, told me we are now linked properly so she will make a little bit if anyone clicks on a link that shows up next to any of my articles. She told me she made over $150.00 this month and she hasn’t written anything lately so it is all residuals. Sounds like fun but it is not much money but it would help pay for my website and all the Kindle books that I have been buying lately. She said in the last ten years she has made more than ten thousand dollars. Not exactly a living but a chance to buy more toys and have fun.

Life is good when you are having fun but like I said so much to do and so little time to do it. Wait a minute didn’t Mother Theresa, Helen Keller, Steve Jobs have the same 24 hours in a day that we all do.
